Courtney R} “My Breakaway senior portrait experience was SUCH a blast!”

Courtney came to Breakaway for her Orange County beach session all the way from Maryland (McDonogh ’13) for her amazing Breakaway senior portraits. In her own words:
“Thank you so much to Nancy, Paul and assistants Jenna & Noelle. I couldn’t have had a better experience! Everything was organized down to the last detail, and my photoshoot was SUCH a blast. Thank you for letting me borrow your ever-so-glamorous jacket [read: gray gym sweatshirt, haha] when I was shivering. And thank you Paul for teaching me “The Look.” 😉 I had sooo much fun! Love, Courtney”

While our SoCal beaches were having a weekend of 70-degree warmth, Annapolis was, um, in the 40’s (not that we’re bragging, or anything *grin*).

Loved meeting three generations of her family – from grandparents to li’l sis, Miss K.

Her outfits were perfect, her smile was radiant, her portraits are stunning – and we just had a blast. Just doesn’t get better than that!

And of course, what would a Breakaway photoshoot post be without a few from behind the scenes? (lovin’ papa Wayne’s crown humor). And mom Valerie’s logistics coordination was stellar (right on through finding a mis-delivered package … at a construction site … at night!)

Special thanks to sister K for the fashion consult, and also for her help with a light check. Can’t wait for K’s turn in the Breakaway spotlight. 🙂

Session assistants Noelle B (UC Santa Barbara ’15) and Jenna F (Santa Margarita ’13) were extraordinary!

Example: While the adults were standing around trying to figure out how to get this prom dress-clad girlie up onto a slightly, um, ‘inaccessible’ (read: Closed) lifeguard tower, these three girls (all cheerleaders from completely different schools) without a word to each other, simply did a simple stunt lift. And voila! Next thing we knew, there was Miss Courtney, standing six feet over our heads … ready for her next pose!

Now watch Courtney rock!
